What time are the flamenco shows?

Can I visit alone? Do you accept bookings for one person?

Absolutely! Solo visitors are more than welcome. If you’d like a table and the tasting menu, contact us directly by phone and we’ll find the best option for you. If you prefer to enjoy the show from the bar with a glass of sherry, you can walk in at any time without a booking.

What are the opening hours of Tabanco El Pasaje?

Monday to Saturday we are open from 11:30 to 16:00 and from 19:00 to 23:30. On Sundays, from 12:00 to 16:00 and from 19:00 to 23:30. Please note that we close between the lunchtime and evening sessions, so we recommend checking the hours before your visit.

What does the €35 tasting menu include?

The tasting menu includes entry to the flamenco show, several tapas and typical products from Jerez, and drinks (sherry, soft drinks or water). It is a complete food and flamenco experience in an authentic setting, from €35 per person.

Which wines do you serve?

At Tabanco El Pasaje we serve a selection of sherries from Jerez: Fino, Manzanilla, Amontillado, Oloroso, Palo Cortado and Cream, among others. We work with local bodegas, and wine served from the cask at the bar is the traditional tabanco experience. Our staff will be happy to recommend the best wine for your taste.

What exactly is a tabanco?

A tabanco is a traditional establishment from Jerez de la Frontera, somewhere between a bodega and a tavern, where wine is served straight from the cask. Tabanco El Pasaje has been open since 1925 and is one of the most historic and authentic in Jerez. Unlike other tourist venues, here locals and visitors from around the world share the same space over wine and flamenco.

Is it suitable for children?

Yes, children are welcome when accompanied by adults. The flamenco show is a cultural experience that tends to delight all ages. Please bear in mind that the venue is small and the atmosphere during the shows can be intense — which is part of the magic of the place.

Where is Tabanco El Pasaje and how do I get there?

We are at Calle Santa María 8, in the historic centre of Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz), just a few minutes’ walk from the Cathedral and the main sherry bodegas. There are public car parks nearby in the town centre. If you are using public transport, the nearest bus stop is less than 5 minutes away on foot.

How far in advance should I book?

During high season (spring, summer and weekends) we recommend booking at least 2–3 days in advance, as the venue is small and tables fill up fast. In low season, there is usually availability at shorter notice. No booking is needed to watch from the bar, but arrive early to get a good spot.
